For that matter, kids are like sausages, too

Two people died on this day who uttered memorable quotes.

Denis Diderot, the French essayist and encyclopedist, died July 30, 1784. He said:

"All children are essentially criminal."

German Chancellor Otto von Bismarck died July 30, 1898. He said:

"Laws are like sausages. It's better not to see them being made."
